About Me

Thanks for checking out my blog and joining me on this year long adventure to read 100 books in 2013.

I am Kate. While I am originally from a small town in middle Tennessee, I have spent the last 7 years in various places from across the East Coast. From Knoxville, to Atlanta, down to Tallahassee, and finally Baltimore, moving has become second nature to me. (Why yes, many of my books move with me!)

Now, I am working in higher education here in MD. I love helping students succeed. I believe education is the answer to many of the worlds problems. Reading is the single best gift you can give to anyone. If you can  help a child fall in love with reading, you can change their world.

People always ask. Why 100 are you crazy? Do you have a social life? Let me start by saying, I love to read.  I always found time to read even in the hectic schedule of being a grad student and an involved undergraduate student.  During an average year, I would read between 20-40 books. This year I am upping my game and sharing my love of reading with my friends and family. Yes, I go out. Yes, I have a social life. Yes, I read in the most random times of life, and you can too.

If you are new to the blog, here are a few great places to get you started:

Each month I publish a post of the books I am reading. These post are stored on the tab 100 Books of 2013.

Many of the 100 books have already been chosen. Here is a little background about how the books were chosen and 100 books first post.

Thanks for joining me on my first blogging adventure!
